Together with new micro brewery Heavy Metale Brewery AB, Swedish heavy metal band Crucified Barbara are now launching a signature craft beer. It’s a loud Red Ale full of attitude and inspired by the bands new album “In The Red” that is available from 10th of September.
– It’s such a fun cooperation, says Per Johansson, brewmaster at Heavy Metale. I’ve been working together with Ida Evileye, the bands lead on the question of beer, discussing beer and styles back and forth. We’ve had Bitter and Brown Ale in the loop, but settled on a Red Ale. Red Ale have some similarities with both Bitter and Brown Ale, but leaving more room for the malt and using less hops, creating a smooth note, somewhat dry with a hint of caramel, rounding everything off with some bitterness.
Heavy Metale as a brewery have a philosophy that fantastic rock and damned good beer are two extremely important ingredients in the recipe for a happy life. It’s tagline “Ale for on and all for Ale” stands for everyone’s right to great beer by providing craft beer to all rock’n’roll fans – and that’s certainly something Crucified Barbara totally agree with, says Lena Graaf, manager of the band.
During the work with Crucified Barbara In The Red, the band got the opportunity to try some of the other Heavy Metale craft beers, all of which received high grades, so the band is now eagerly awaiting the opportunity to share its own signature craft beer with their fans.
Heavy Metale’s Crucified Barbara Red Ale is available from the end of October A QR-code on the label will give you access to the entire new album!
